E3: Microsoft confirms Halo 4 is in development

Halo 4 confirmation

Microsoft just accidently hit the trigger on its E3 press conference page.

The software giant has revealed that Halo 4 is in development and is “on the way”. The company posted the information a little early to its E3 content page on Monday. Microsoft has since removed the post and graphic (above). Microsoft may be planning to show off an early build of Halo 4 at its E3 press conference later today and reveal a time frame for its release.

  343 studios. MS kept a couple bungie guys before letting bungie go, and formed a new studio only for the halo franchise.

I think it will be fine. You should see the talent they have at 343i. Several Bungie folks came over plus Corrinne Yu is the principal working on the engine.

Seriously, dig a little and you’ll see there is nothing but all star talent on that team.

If they announce H4 as a regular next game in the series, perhaps, another story arch, then you gotta think they’ll show off Halo CE HD and the MMO they seem to be working on at Halo Fest later this year.
