Windows 8 - Build 7850

An early Milestone 1 version of Windows 8 leaked publicly on Tuesday.

The build is currently being distributed on FTPs and file sharing sites after an anonymous leakster posted the bits to the beta archive site. The build is an early sample of Microsoft’s work with Windows 8 and does not reflect the current state of winmain builds. As the build was compiled in late September it has since expired and those wishing to experiment with it will need to turn their BIOS clocks back.

The build is currently available on private FTP sites and is expected to be made available on the usual torrent and file sharing sites in the next few hours.

Is this even worth a lick?

I don’t want to say anything, but this “Windows 8″ is actually Widnows 7 just with few modifications usual user won’t even notice. Oh, sorry, we got one more image on taskbar, but that’s all. No point of even leaking such builds…

This is VERY true because I have win 8 myself there is no change except a picture on the bottom right

I have tested this and there is nothing new other than the addition of user settings on the right bottom corner. It looks a lot like windows 7 (if not the same UI) but let’s see it this way.It may say win7 but the build says win8m1 so this is official work even at milestone stage. Why everyone expected a totally different windows version. It’s too early you guys.:)

M$ needs to get rid of the legendary start menu and replace it with something innovative and intuitive…
