Gears of War 3 limited edition Xbox 360 console arriving in September

Microsoft has revealed a limited edition Gears of War 3 branded Xbox 360.

The new console includes an exclusive red and black design with two custom-designed Xbox 360 wireless controllers, a 320GB hard drive and built in Wi-Fi connection. The console comes packaged with a standard copy of Gears of War 3 and a wired headset. Microsoft is also throwing in a download token for bonus game content, including the Infected Omen Weapon Pack and the Adam Fenix character for use in multiplayer.

One original part of the console is that the power and eject buttons have been customized with unique sounds from the “Gears of War” universe. Microsoft will make the console available on September 20 for $399. The customized limited edition Gears of War 3 wireless controllers will also be available separately for $59.99.

    I knew they would do some sorta limited edition SKU with a bigger 320GB HDD, and it’s easy to figure out why, because Sony sells a 320GB PS3 SKU. 

    @Tom and information about the Live TV service as far as the DVR option we saw in the screenshots?  Wonder if we can expect even bigger HDDs next year on sale?

    i dunno why they waste their time with these branded xbox system..  all the design & work that goes into these one off things that only appeal to a few people detract MS from working on much grander projects

    i pre ordered one of those gears of war xbox’s im glad i waited to buy a new one and i think custom xbox systems and controlers is a great idea for ms i wish they would do more of it i think its a good way to show personallity for gamers with out having to customize the system their self and possibly braking the console or controler keep doing what u do ms
