Hulu Plus is now available for Xbox 360 owners.

Microsoft launched Hulu Plus as part of its Xbox LIVE offering on Friday. Hulu Plus allows subscribers to stream TV shows and movies. Hulu is offering Xbox LIVE customers a free subscription for one month, usually priced at $7.99 per month. Hulu Plus also works with Microsoft’s Kinect controller. Kinect users can play, pause, fast forward and rewind any shows they watch using fester or voice commands.

Hulu Plus for Xbox 360 also allows Hulu users to queue TV shows or movies from their console. Hulu Plus is available across multiple devices and Xbox 360 users can continue to watch their TV shows and movies across any internet-connected devices, including PCs, smartphones and others.

Hulu Plus for Xbox 360 is available immediately, priced at $7.99 per month.

Loaded it up this morning, its a pretty nice interface and good quality on video. I just have a hard time justifying Hulu+ when netflix is a 1.00 more for a whole hell of a lot less commercials… Not sure why they charge and show commericals

Click the link. Reports yesterday may have said week, but it’s a month!

so this is the deal. one week free without giving them billing info (credit card). to extend it from one week to one month you have to submit billing info (credit card). billing will start automatically after the free month ends

For $60 right now, you can purchase a full PlayOn license for your Xbox 360 and stream the free version of Hulu to your PS3/360/Wii. This full license is good for the life of your console. This is a pretty good deal since it usually costs $80 bucks.

I love playon but it requires the pc to be up and running. Add to that the extra complexity of it doing whatever transcoding etc… to stream it and any issues you run into with network congestion and it can start to sour you on the streaming media server. It should also be mentioned that Playon streams literally hundreds of sources not just Hulu. It is all great in general but I really would prefer to simplify my tech to the point where I don’t need to mess with it. I feel like Playon works against that goal and if Hulu plus only gets better with time and doesn’t suffer from networks pulling shows then I am willing to try it out.
