Microsoft's 2011 CES booth
Microsoft’s Consumer Electronics Show presence kicks off for 2011 today.
The software giant has constructed a similar booth to its 2010 counterpart but this year there’s a big focus on Kinect and Windows Phone 7, two of Microsoft’s latest products. WinRumors got to CES a little early to get a sneak peek of the booth before the hoards of attendees swam into the halls here in Las Vegas.
Microsoft isn’t showing off its Surface 2 hardware or Avatar Kinect on the show floor but is holding private briefings to demonstrate its CES announcements. The software giant has a large number of laptop and Windows 7 Slate PCs dotted around its booth, including the dual screen Windows 7 Touch laptop manufactured by Acer.

Microsoft CES Booth
Microsoft is also taking the opportunity to show off its latest motto, “Be what’s next”. Microsoft revealed the new motto at the company’s employee only Global Exchange (MGX) event in 2009. The new tagline was officially shown in a video which emphasised a new flexibility between the various brands of Microsoft. The tagline originally appeared alongside what was thought to be new ribbon styled icons. However, Microsoft officials denied that they would be used as product logos in future versions.
