Microsoft demonstrated its front facing video calling support inside Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” on Thursday.
The software giant published a video that shows the Tango video calling application running on a HTC Titan Windows Phone 7.5 device. The support allows third party developers to use forward facing cameras from new Windows Phone 7.5 devices to create video conferencing and calling applications.
Microsoft originally revealed its forward facing camera support earlier this month. HTC unveiled two new Windows Phone 7.5 devices at a special event in London at the start of September. The HTC Radar and Titan will both be available across Europe in October. Microsoft will support forward facing cameras in the Camera application of Windows phone 7.5 but does not include a native video calling app at this time. Check out the video calling demo below.
