Microsoft revealed on Wednesday that it is now delivering the Windows Phone 7.5 update to Samsung Omnia 7 devices on the SFR network.

SFR users in France will start to see the Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” update show up on their devices from Wednesday. Microsoft is still delivering the Windows Phone 7.5 update to 50% of Windows Phone users. Microsoft’s Eric Hautala, in charge of Windows Phone update deliveries, had no further information to share on additional devices for Mango. “Your global adoption, use, and feedback is helping us make delivery decisions,” said Hautala in a blog post on Wednesday.

Spanish operator Telefonica is still testing its Mango update for devices. “I’ve seen some questions here and on Facebook about phones still listed as testing on Where’s My Phone Update?” said Hautala. “ If you own one, I want to reassure you that we’re working closely with carriers to complete testing and are making good progress.” Microsoft will add more phones to the Windows Phone 7.5 update pool in the coming weeks. AT&T customers with the Samsung Focus v. 1.4 and Dell Venue Pro are still waiting for the carrier to complete testing.

It’s taking forever. Omnia 7 on T-Mobile still not updating. It will be a minimum of 2 months before everyone gets this update. I don’t see how this is any better than the NoDo update

I am always surprised about this so called operator testing!!! I am assuming the
tests are to ensure the operator’s custom applications and other tweaks work on
    all WP7 models.
But….the apps provided by my provider are abysmal!!! For example, I have a plan usage
app that always shows out of date information. Next, they provide these third
party apps as an exclusive freebie but these apps, but not their updates. Any
updates to these apps are available in the marketplace, but never to us because
we have to get the update through our service provider (don’t ask me why!
probably because I got it through my provider as a freebie???). I mean… what
    difference does it make?
Grow up operators; test your apps for functionality and efficiency
first!! I am sure the device vendor and MSFT have done sufficient testing to
ensure the OS update works on all phones. Omnia7 is a good example!
P.S. I got this third party app update from my provider almost 4 months after it was made available by the developer.
