Microsoft has revealed a new special edition Xbox 360 console.
The new console is built for Star Wars fans. Gizmodo got an exclusive hands on with the new console which features an R2-D2 design and C-3PO style controllers. The software giant is also planning a special white Kinect accessory to accompany the new console. According to Gizmodo, Microsoft has spent a long time getting the design spot on. The Xbox 360 power LED is now blue and the controllers are shiny gold, the same colour as C-3PO.
Microsoft will release the console in November as part of a bundle set to debut with Kinect Star Wars this holiday season. The bundle is available to pre-order through retailers, priced at $449.99. The bundle will include:
- Kinect Star Wars game
- Custom R2-D2-themed Xbox 360 Console with custom sounds (Hear them (MP3) - > Power on and Tray eject)
- White Kinect Sensor
- Custom C-3PO-themed Xbox 360 Wireless Controller
- 320 GB Hard Drive
