Steven Sinofsky at CES 2011

Windows chief Steven Sinofsky is expected on stage at the All Things Digital D9 conference shortly.

All Things Digital will not be streaming the event live but there’s a number of places you’ll want to keep an eye on for live blogs and information:

  • This is my next -Joshua Topolsky (former Engadget editor) will be live blogging Sinofsky’s demo along with live pictures.
  • Cnet -Josh Lowensohn and Rafe Needleman will provide live coverage from inside All Things Digital
  • All things digital - Ina Fried and the team will provide a full range of official photos and coverage

Sinofsky is due on stage at 15:50 PDT (see other time zones).

WinRumors will be posting information as soon as it’s announced so stay tuned for full coverage

15:35 – Microsoft is setting up what appears to be some system-on-a-chip (SoC) devices, ready for a demo:

Can’t wait to see Windows 8, i’m really sad that its not broadcasted live, They Broadcast WP7, why not Window 8!!!

WP7 is hosted by Microsoft, this is hosted by All Things D, Microsoft is only a guest.

Why Microsoft continues to attend this bozo conference to show off their next-gen stuff is beyond me.

So, they streamed the Google and other keynotes but this doesn’t get a stream why?  Did MS ask them not too, though they’re going to let people take pictures so I doubt that’s the case.  I guess they’re just being asshats about it because it’s MS huh?

They only stream like one session each day I think, but it’s sad that they don’t stream what’s sure to be the most interesting one.

They will edit what they have to show and not to show….will be on ALL THINGS D after demo has finished ;)

Yeah, I know but this is the biggest thing at D9, and they’re prioritizing something else for live-streaming it’s sort of sad.

    I can’t believe D9 isn’t livestreaming this. Microsoft usually rock D9.

Mossberg is a prick. People should stop feeding the one man marketing department of Apple.

At least Sinofsky admits they didn’t go a good job in mobile and tablets. That’s more than Ballmer has managed.

Walt Mossberg really is an anti-Microsoft Apple douche. I’d like to see Sinofsky haul off and deck him.

The guy tries to throw in a shot at every corner. He does that every year to MS. Last year it was his constant nitpicking on WP7, e.g. when MS (Joe?) started to talk about the live tile feature, he instantly interrupted the speaker to talk about the Weatherbug live tile bug he ran into and then changed the subject. He is a real piece of work.

But Sinofsky is kicking ass though:

Walt: Do you run security software on your Mac? Steven: On my Mac? I’ll run whatever they push down to me this week…

What amuses me most is that ATD seems to have removed a lot of the comments on the LiveBlog article; seems the overall commenters’ tone was too negative.
