Over the next few weeks we’re making some changes at WinRumors.
The site will undergo several tweaks to bring it into line with Microsoft’s Metro style guidelines. The first of those changes is the launch of a tablet version of WinRumors. Similar to Microsoft’s Windows 8 Start Screen, WinRumors Tablet features tiles of news and a Metro look and feel. The tablet version supports Apple iPad, Android and webOS devices. Microsoft is planning to unveil their Windows 8 tablet offering fully in a couple of weeks and we’ll update the site accordingly to support Windows 8 at Developer Preview launch.

WinRumors Metro
So what else is on the way you ask? You’ll have to wait and see but rest assured the improvements launched today will filter over to the “classic” version of WinRumors in a similar way. It has been nearly a year since I launched WinRumors and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my loyal and growing readership for all the support, comments and feedback that you supply on a daily basis. I look forward to the next year ahead as Microsoft ushers in a unified user experience across its core products and the next generation of Windows. I hope to hear from you all in the comments section and the contact form.
Thank you
Tom
Many Thanks to Tim Kimberl (@timan25) for working hard on the Metro theme. He’s a talented and respected designer and a great friend.
