Microsoft’s new Windows 8 Metro style “Webcam Capture Application” has been demonstrated on video.

The new application is demonstrated on video (below) and includes Metro UI styled controls and visuals. The “Webcam Capture Application” is believed to be a part of Microsoft’s “immersive” tablet experience that will be available in the next-generation of ARM based Windows Tablets. MyDigitalLife posted the video in a forum thread on Saturday.

Everything about Windows 8 that’s been leaked thus far looks amazing. I probably sound like a fanboy saying that, but I really never felt like Vista or Windows 7 advanced Windows like Microsoft claimed they would.

This really looks fake, it doesn’t look any metroish.

    I see two possibilities :

    1 – This is fake…
2 – This is so early that it’s only a placeholder for when designers will kick-in.

There is absolutly no way this could be released as-is in Windows 8.

Before features get implemented on the web, developers trial the code in a beta environment, once the functionality is in order then the UI is created, things can be taken away and replaced. Windows 8 is no different, everything you see that is being leaked are only beta environments used to test functionality, button placement etc. Microsoft are not that crazy. Hence why Balmer mentioned don’t take notice of any leaked photos as the RTM version will look nothing like them.

I know :) That was what I meant with my “2.”

I just don’t understand how people are “I love / hate it” when the screenshots are THAT far from the final version.
