Microsoft announced on Friday a limited edition Call of Duty console.

Announced at the Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles, the new Xbox 360 limited edition Call of Durty: Modern Warfare 3 console includes two themed accessories. The limited edition package includes a customised console with graphics from Modern Warfare 3 alongside two custom wireless controllers, a 320GB hard drive and a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The console also includes custom sounds when it’s powered on and off and a disk is ejected.

Microsoft is also bundling a one month trial of Xbox LIVE gold as well as exclusive avatar items. The console will be made available on November 8 in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and EMEA for $399. Amazon is accepting pre-orders for the console package today.

Microsoft is also shipping two limited edition accessories on October 11. The Xbox 360 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 wireless headset with bluetooth will be made available for $69.99. The headset includes the ability to connect to Bluetooth enabled phones, PCs or other devices. Microsoft’s Modern Warfare 3 controller will also be made available for $59.99. The controller includes a transforming D-pad and custom Call of Duty artwork.

Microsoft’s Call of Duty console joins the ranks of the limited edition Xbox 360 models. The software giant recently announced a Gears of War 3 console and a Star Wars R2-D2 Xbox 360 console.

All respect to Major Nelson, but he’s getting to old to e the face of Xbox. They need younger blood…..in fact, hire me.
    oh and nice box!

Nah.  He’s a kid at heart.  Have you seen Nelson’s gamerscore?  It’s over 53,000 (more than double my own), so he does play these games.

Lol, you mean only 53k, he has 400+ games…

I’d like just a normal edition 320 GB Xbox 360 console please … although I do like the look of the GoW3 package.  I just wish it didn’t say “Gears of War” on the front.

The MW3 console looks like one that got messed up with the chipped paint and all. I guess that’s what they were going for (in a battle or whatever) … but I’d rather mine look new with my electronic equipment. I just want the bigger hard drive when I decide to upgrade from my 1st gen console.

Unless MS feels the need to cut the price of the current SKUs soon we won’t see a normal 360 with a 320GB HDD.    Introducing one without first cutting the price of the 250GB units would raise the price and wouldn’t be worth it in the end.

I know none of these bundles have been released yet but regarding the controllers with the transforming dpads. Do they come with the rechargable battery pack? if not how would we go about getting one to match the colour scheme of the controller?

Im looking to sell my old fat 360 and get one of the new ones as my new house I can only get wireless to my TV. The cost of getting the wireless n adapter for an old one is pretty much the same price to upgrade with an inbuilt one.

It’s better to get rechargeable batteries than one of those packs.  The play and charge is nice and all, but those batteries don’t last as long as good rechargeable Energizer ones you can find in the store.  You can get 4 AA batteries plus a charger for the price of one of those play and charge packs.

I use the Energizer Rechargeable 2500mAh and they work well for me.  When one pair dies, I have another pair already charged and ready to go.  Although some people have issues with them for certain other electronics … like cameras.  I think they don’t keep their charge in occasional use devices (cameras) … but last quite long while in use for frequently used devices (game controllers).

Haven’t used Duracell or Eneloop batteries, but I’m sure they work just as well.

LOL. I don’t know if u did this on purpose, but you spelled it “Call of DURTY: Modern Warfare 3″.

If that was done on purpose… ROFLMAO!!!! EPIC
    If not… um…. oops.

The first Modern Warfare is still the best one. I will play MW3 but I doubt it’ll top the original.  I went out of my way to get ALL of the MW achievements.  Yes, even the infamous Mile High Club… only took 4 or 5 HUNDRED tries. ;)
