
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 console
Microsoft announced on Friday a limited edition Call of Duty console.
Announced at the Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles, the new Xbox 360 limited edition Call of Durty: Modern Warfare 3 console includes two themed accessories. The limited edition package includes a customised console with graphics from Modern Warfare 3 alongside two custom wireless controllers, a 320GB hard drive and a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The console also includes custom sounds when it’s powered on and off and a disk is ejected.
Microsoft is also bundling a one month trial of Xbox LIVE gold as well as exclusive avatar items. The console will be made available on November 8 in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and EMEA for $399. Amazon is accepting pre-orders for the console package today.
Microsoft is also shipping two limited edition accessories on October 11. The Xbox 360 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 wireless headset with bluetooth will be made available for $69.99. The headset includes the ability to connect to Bluetooth enabled phones, PCs or other devices. Microsoft’s Modern Warfare 3 controller will also be made available for $59.99. The controller includes a transforming D-pad and custom Call of Duty artwork.
Microsoft’s Call of Duty console joins the ranks of the limited edition Xbox 360 models. The software giant recently announced a Gears of War 3 console and a Star Wars R2-D2 Xbox 360 console.
